Sporting stars shine at Berrigan dinner

Mitch Di Petta, Emily Browne and Jamie Robinson were guest panelists at the Berrigan Football Netball Club’s Patron's Dinner.

Last Saturday night, Berrigan Football and Netball Club held its annual Patron's Dinner.

The night took on a different approach from other years.

Three guests were invited to be part of a panel in which they were asked questions about their sporting careers.

Berrigan seniors coach Mitch Di Petta, North Albury coach/player Emily Browne and former premiership coach Jamie Robinson were part of the panel.

Nick Arnold was the MC and did a superb job asking questions.

Emily was certainly a crowd favourite. She is an ex-Berrigan netballer who has been a very successful Ovens & Murray player, winning three Toni Wilson Best and Fairests (in 2012, 2017 and 2022).

Emily is having a successful 2024 season with A-grade to play finals, which she said is the culmination of building the netball club over five years.

Jamie Robinson spoke about his time at Berrigan as coach and winning the 2011 premiership, and passed on some advice to our young fourths as they head into finals.

Mitch also answered questions about his first year as coach, and of his time at Mulwala where they won back-to-back premierships in 2022 and 2023.

Mitch has certainly enjoyed the support he has received from players and supporters during the year.
