Stayin’ alive: The Bee Gees tribute band hitting up the Goulburn Valley

Best of: The Bee Gees tribute band is making its way to the Goulburn Valley for one night only.

It’s Saturday Night Fever in the best way possible, with the Best of the Bee Gees bringing all the hits to the stage of Eastbank on June 25.

Complete with a trip down memory lane with the original Bee Gees drummer, Colin ‘Smiley’ Petersen, the tribute band will rip out all the hottest, flares-wearing tracks.

“It’s wonderful that these incredible songs live on through this great show, and I am thrilled to add another dimension by sharing my memories,” Mr Petersen said.

As well as being the fourth band member, Mr Petersen is renowned as being a drum protégé and child actor, but his essential input to the Bee Gees sound is what kept him touring for more than two decades.

Mr Petersen was the first non-Gibb band member alongside the three brothers, Maurice, Barry and Robin Gibb.

The trio’s sister, Lesley Evans, née Gibb, said she’d never seen a “more professional tribute show”.

“They have worked hard to reproduce the unique sound of my brothers — so tastefully done,” she said.

“If you’re a Bee Gees fan, this is the concert for you.”

The show has brought global audiences to their feet and got hips moving for more than two decades.

The show will take place at Riverlinks Eastbank, 70 Welsford St, Shepparton, beginning at 8pm on Saturday, June 25.

Tickets are available via the Riverlinks website, https://riverlinksvenues.com.au/whats-on/event-details/!/calendar/event/best-of-the-bee-gees or contact Riverlinks on 03 5832 9511.
