A car stolen from a Shepparton hotel car park was used in several burglaries, police allege.

Shepparton police Senior Constable Jeremy Rath said the silver Toyota Yaris was allegedly stolen from the car park at the GV Hotel about 4.30pm on Wednesday, April 19, while the owner was inside the hotel.

The two-door hatchback was found dumped at 6.30am the next morning in Poplar Ave, Shepparton.

Sen Constable Rath said the vehicle was alleged to have been involved in several burglaries on Shepparton homes and businesses overnight Wednesday.

Police believe a woman and a man may have been involved, he said.

Anyone who saw the car overnight Wednesday is asked to contact Sen Constable Rath at Shepparton police on 5820 5777.
