An allegedly stolen ute collided with a parked car in Mooroopna on Wednesday, June 21.

Police said the Mazda BT-50 ute, which was allegedly bearing false number plates, was involved in a crash at Bellemara Dve in Mooroopna in the late afternoon.

The ute allegedly hit a parked car, shunting it forward about three metres, before the ute flipped on to its side.

Police allege the driver ran off after he was helped out of the ute by a member of the public.

The ute was allegedly stolen from the Melbourne suburb of Glen Iris on June 8.

A 32-year-old Mildura man has been charged with 11 charges, including careless driving, disqualified driving, theft of a vehicle, drug possession and theft of number plates.

He was interviewed by police on Thursday morning and is expected to face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
