After heavy rains and floods have affected the region, Strathbogie Shire Council has offered complimentary disposal services for storm-related green waste until January 14.
The initiative aims to assist residents in clearing debris caused by storm damage.
During normal operating hours, residents can benefit from the initiative at Avenel, Nagambie, Euroa and Violet Town transfer stations.
The complimentary storm-related green waste disposal services began on Saturday, January 6, and continue until Sunday, January 14.
The temporary free service is only for organic storm-related debris, including branches of trees, and does not apply to general gardening waste.
The council said regular charges will apply to general, non-green waste resulting from storm damage if customers request disposal.
It also reminded the community members to place smaller green waste into their organic green bin to be collected as per normal kerbside service.
