Structure of Greater Shepparton City Council, including number of councillors under review

Advisory panel: An electoral representation advisory panel will review the number and names of Greater Shepparton City Council wards and how many councillors are elected.

The electoral structure of Greater Shepparton City Council, including the number of wards, their boundaries, locations and names, and how many councillors sit on it is being reviewed.

The Victorian Electoral Commission said an electoral representation advisory panel is conducting the review and will present models in a preliminary report for the public to consider.

After a period of consultation, the panel will make a recommendation to the minister for local government.

People can join two online information sessions via Microsoft Teams to find out more about the review. They are at:

• Noon on Monday, July 3; and

• 6pm on Tuesday, July 4.

People can join from their computers or phones via a link and phone number, which will be made available 30 minutes before the sessions’ start times.

People can make submissions to the panel in writing, from 9 am on Wednesday, July 5, until they close at 5 pm on Wednesday, July 26.
