A development proposal to build a ‘lifestyle resort’ of 383 dwellings in Barooga is open to community submissions.

The proposed development will be built at 74 Quicks Rd, Barooga, pending approval by Berrigan Shire Council.

The site sits adjacent to multiple properties, including at least 10 homes along Murray Grove and the orange orchid on Buchanans Rd.

Commissioned by GBA Consultancy, the Port Macquarie-based consultancy LandDynamics Australia alongside Sydney-based architects de Blanco Design Studio developed plans for the site.

Plans include details on the size of each of the 383 individual dwellings.

The size of the dwellings ranges between 105 square metres to 124.8 sq m, with each to have its own attached garage.

Alongside these residential dwellings, the development proposal also outlines plans for a clubhouse, recreation area and a bowling green.

The clubhouse will be replete with a library, café and dining area, and a cinema.

The 22-hectare property at 74 Quicks Rd was listed for sale on realestate.com for $5.2 million.

Submissions can be made via tinyurl.com/36asvc7t

The community has until Tuesday, October 29 to make submissions on the development application.
