During the summer school holidays, the 4Rs will host water activities organised by Campaspe Shire Council to keep cool and have fun.

From Monday, January 6, an inflatable water slide and Zorb balls will be available three days a week for the month of January.

The activities are on offer from 2pm and 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10am to 2pm on Fridays.

Campaspe Shire Council acting director communities Janelle Wheatley said the activities would provide residents and visitors water-based fun as demolition works progress on the Rochester District War Memorial Pool.

“We are committed to delivering opportunities for Rochester residents and visitors to take part in water-based activities while we source funding to build a new aquatic facility for the community,” she said.

Free entry is also being offered to the Colbinabbin, Kyabram, Lockington, Rushworth, Stanhope and Tongala outdoor pools this summer.

Season passes are for the entire season, finishing on Monday, March 10.

During the school term, outdoor pools are open from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 1pm to 8pm on weekends.

During school holidays, they are open from 1pm to 8pm every day except Christmas Day.
