Midnight memories: Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display is sure to be spectacular.

New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be complete without a celebration.

For those of you who’ve opted for the quiet night in, or perhaps a cheeky house party, the ABC’s NYE 2022 performers will have viewers singing and dancing along to an unforgettable night of entertainment.

Celebrations kick off with The Early Night show, hosted by Rhys Nicholson, Casey Donovan and Gemma Driscoll, along with a few special guests.

After the family-friendly fun finishes at 9pm, Charlie Pickering and Zan Rowe will take over, broadcasting live from the Northern Boardwalk of the Sydney Opera House.

At 9.15pm the perfect soundtrack to welcome in 2023 will begin.

This year’s all-star line-up includes big names in Australian music, with the likes of Tones and I, Ball Park Music, Dami Im, Morgan Evans, Tasman Keith and Casey Donovan gracing the stage.

Then join in the countdown and watch Sydney (and your TV screen) light up with the city’s world-famous fireworks display to farewell the good and bad times of 2022, and welcome in a better 2023.

But let’s not jinx it.

NYE 2022 will begin from 8.30pm on Saturday on ABC TV.
