A range of community groups were involved in the 2022 Benalla Festival Neurodiverse Art Show.

Arranged by BT Coordination Services the exhibition, on display at Benalla Town Hall during the festival, was a big hit.

Organiser Jackie Davon said BT Coordination Services works with NDIS participants and a lot of people who have not been able to access services.

“We do a lot of probono things to try and help people gain access or filter them through to the right programs,” Ms Davon said.

“The artwork has been donated from the old mine building in Yooralla, and the funds that come from the sale of their items, which is just what people would like to pay, all that money goes back into a local art bank.

“And we run out of the Benalla CWA hall on Tuesdays from 10am until 6pm.

“In the afternoons there is a program from 4pm to 6pm for youth and anyone else can join us during the day.

“The last few weeks we’ve run some mosaic and jewellery making.

“And we’re doing some Christmas-themed things. The kids have been making gifts for their teachers.

“It’s not just canvas work but also leather making and lots more.”

The exhibition included work from Yooralla, BT Coordination Services, Room at the Table and Brick by Brick.
