While Anna Trazzera has been with Tatura Medical Centre for 17 years, in three months as the practice manager, she has encountered more than enough weather damage.

The Tatura hail storm on Thursday, December 22 about 6pm led to the practice’s waiting room roof caving in, a smashed window and flooding of the centre — among other suspected damage.

“We’ve had a run of things, but this tops the cake,” Ms Trazzera said.

“It’s heartbreaking.”

With two days leading up to Christmas, the medical centre was fully booked with clients,

The storm damage meant the practice would be closed — and would remain that way for a while.

“We can’t get the roof damage fixed between Christmas and New Year’s (Day), it’s virtually impossible,” centre doctor Monica Atkins said.
