Teenage apprentice seriously injured in Moama workplace accident

A TEENAGER suffered serious injuries in a workplace accident in Moama on Wednesday.

Paramedics were called to a property in Moama just after 8.30 am after an apprentice carpenter fell from a ladder while erecting roof trusses.

The young man was flown by air ambulance helicopter to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition with upper body injuries.

He was in a stable condition on Friday.

SafeWork NSW is investigating.

A spokesperson said SafeWork’s inquiries were ongoing and further comment was not available at this time.
