The teenager who was allegedly hit by a vehicle in Benalla earlier this month has died.
Benalla’s Caleb Puttyfoot died in hospital on Sunday, August 13, eight days after the incident.
It is alleged Dylan Norman, 23, of Benalla was driving a Mitsubishi 4WD about 9.20pm on Friday, August 4 when the vehicle struck 16-year-old Caleb, who was walking across Bridge St West.
Mr Norman successfully applied for bail in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court last week.
On that day he had been charged with failing to stop, failing to render assistance, attempting to pervert the course of justice and disqualified driving.
