Ambulance Victoria has confirmed Mooroopna Ambulance Station will not permanently close, but won’t say when paramedics will resume working from the site or what work is being done.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics relocated to Tatura last month as part of a short-term measure.
“Paramedics at the Mooroopna Ambulance Station temporarily relocated to Tatura on August 12 while improvements are made to the station,” the spokesperson said.
“The relocation is not expected to have an impact on services in the Greater Shepparton local government area or patient care.”
Ambulance Victoria did not reply to follow-up questions about what works were being completed, how much the works would cost or how long the paramedics would be relocated for.
Ambulance Victoria also didn’t answer questions about what benefits the works would bring for Mooroopna.
