More than two months of rehearsals will culminate in the Jerilderie Public School’s staging of The Frog Prince today.

The whole-of-school play involves singing, dancing and acting, courtesy of director Helen Dickie’s guidance, in her final act in that role.

A full dress rehearsal of the play was held on Monday, with a matinee performance of The Frog Prince to take place at the Jerilderie Civic Hall today from 10.30am and an evening showing at 6.30pm.

All students are participating, with the Year 4-6 class cast in the main roles with Year 1-3 class supporting in song and dance sections.

A couple of students have also taken on stagehand roles and others are assisting with music.

Entry to the evening performance is by gold coin donation, with supper available afterwards.

The Frog Prince is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and first published in 1812 in Grimm's Fairy Tales.
