Helping out: Curt Arthur, Daniel Cleave and Kaiden Richards getting ready to deliver goods to the community.

Across Shepparton’s north, four men have become a collective beacon of light to residents trapped by flood waters.

Daniel Cleave, Kaiden Richards, Curt Arthur and Michael Hand have been making supply drops by boat since Monday, October 16.

Around 40 houses across The Boulevard surrounded by flood waters have received essentials, including bread, fruit, pasta, rice and milk.

Most of the supplies were provided by the four men, along with some assistance from Contis Dairy and gym members at Shepparton Boxing Gym.

Drop-offs: The men made deliveries on Monday and Tuesday.

Shepparton Boxing Gym owner Mr Cleave said the four men had been filling sandbags across the weekend and wanted to find another way to help the community.

“Because we hadn’t been affected at all, it was hard to see everyone else struggling in this difficult time,” Mr Cleave said.

“It was the least we could do.”

Mr Cleave said blocks of chocolate had been particularly well-received by many people confined to their homes.
