The Rotaract Club of Goulburn Murray will commemorate the establishment of its club at its Charter Night on Saturday from 5pm to 9pm.

This youth-led service organisation, comprising passionate and like-minded individuals, is dedicated to effecting positive change within our community.

With a line-up of activities and a gathering of influential speakers and community leaders, the night promises an evening of inspiration, celebration and camaraderie.

Taking centre stage as the guest speaker, Neha Samar will share her insights and experiences.

One of the evening’s highlights will be the presentation of the charter, a symbolic gesture representing the official recognition of the Rotaract Club of Goulburn Murray by Rotary International.

The charter will be formally presented, solidifying the club’s commitment to serving the community and making a lasting impact.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while connecting with fellow attendees.

“It’s really exciting,” club president-elect Alison White said.

“There used to be a Rotaract club, and a lot of people were involved.”

Miss White’s passion and anticipation are palpable, reflecting the collective sentiment of the entire club.

The event will take place at Shepparton Golf Club and is open to all, with community members invited to join in the festivities and witness the birth of a new chapter in community service.

“The reason we started this club is that we really saw a gap for young people to get involved or make the changes they wanted for the region,” Miss White said.

“We’re a group of passionate people, and we thought that we could fill that gap.”

Under president Kimberley Chu, the club has grown to include about 25 members aged 18 and above.

However, the club remains committed to expanding its reach and is actively seeking new members who share the vision of effecting positive change and fostering community development.
