Time to put your start-up to the test

Caleb Maxell and the audience enjoyed hearing from meteorologist Jane Bunn during her visit.

Have you got an idea for a start-up?

Then now’s the best time to test its viability.

Startup Central Victoria’s next pre-accelerator program begins in late June and is free, thanks to support from LaunchVic and regional co-sponsors.

Meteorologist Jane Bunn recently spoke in Bendigo about the benefits of participating in a start-up program, after joining one to help launch her own start-up, Jane’s Weather App.

“You can be 100 per cent sure you are doing it right, and then you talk to someone who has done this before, and suddenly, you realise that something is so obvious and wonder how we did not see that,” she said.

The 12-week program includes two in-person days with the rest online, outside work hours.

Participants will connect with fellow entrepreneurs, experienced mentors and professional services.

“This is a chance to test out your idea or develop an early start-up model in a safe and supportive environment,” program director Kerry Anderson said.

“You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
