Ratepayers and local residents of the Federation Council area will vote for their preferred choice of candidates for Federation Council election on Saturday, September 14 in accordance with ballot papers which were decided last Thursday.
There are seven grouped candidates and five ungrouped candidates.
Group ballot order:
Group A: Derek Schoen (Redlands), Michael Robson (Urana), Melanie Trevethan (Howlong), Matthew Mahon (Corowa), Theresea Hughes (Urana).
Group B: Patrick Bourke (Urana), David Fahey OAM (Morundah), Leanne Dalitz (Oaklands), John Doyle (Oaklands), Mareeta Corcoran (Corowa).
Group C: Shaun Whitechurch, Norman Wales, Daniel Webb, Brooke Ollington, Katrina Whitechurch (all Corowa).
Group D: Andrew Kennedy, Chanade Seiler, Nathan Parker, Robert Purtle OAM, Nicole Urquhart (all Mulwala).
Group E: David Harrison (Corowa), Raymond McLarty (Corowa), Julianne Whyte, (Lowesdale) Dean Druce (Corowa), John Crothers (Corowa).
Group F: Richard Nixon (Oaklands), Robert Pearce (Corowa), John Bennett (Hopefield), Rosaline Dye (Hopefield), Susan Curran (Mulwala).
Group G: Cheryl Cook, Susan Wearne, Michael Gardiner, Damien Glass, David Longley (all Howlong).

Postal votes and pre-polling
Postal vote packs have been sent out this week to postal vote applicants in the upcoming 2024 NSW Local Government elections.
For your vote to be counted you must complete your postal vote pack correctly before 6pm on election day, Saturday, September 14 and return it to the Electoral Commission by 6pm on Friday, September 27.
Postal vote applications close at 5pm on Monday, September 9.
The most efficient way to apply for a postal voting pack is online through the NSW Electoral Commission website. Apply now at opva.elections.nsw.gov.au.”
Eligible voters can pre poll vote in person from Saturday, September 7 and then from Monday, September 9 to Friday, September 13.
Voters can use the easy address look-up at elections.nsw.gov.au for information on pre-poll locations, candidates, accessibility and opening times for their local council area or ward.
Ratepayers and residents are reminded voting is compulsory and penalties apply for non-voting.
The elections will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
