A Tocumwal small business has found itself in the spotlight once again.

Tocumwal Chocolate School has been announced a finalist in the 2024 NSW Tourism Awards for Excellence in Food Tourism.

Tocumwal Chocolate School owner Wendy Alford discovered the school had been nominated on the afternoon of Thursday, October 24.

She said the nomination shined a light on small, boutique businesses that people would look at visiting as a point of difference.

“It highlights that in the region there are things to do that aren’t run of the mill,” she said.

Owned and operated by Wendy and her husband, Martin Alford, Tocumwal Chocolate School offers a luxurious combination of chocolate tastings, exclusive classes and glamping.

The NSW Tourism Awards is the only gateway through which businesses may enter the national Australian Tourism Awards.

The winner of the state finalists will be announced at the NSW Tourism Gala Night on Thursday, November 28, at The Star in Sydney.
