Tocumwal Public School held its annual swimming carnival on February 16.

This year’s overall winning house was Wombats.

The Rosemary Reed Participation Shield went to Koalas.

Age Champions for 2024 are:

• Junior Boy - Patrick Taylor.

• Junior Girl - Ivy Farrell.

• 11 Years Boy - Archie Matters.

• 11 Years Girl - Lily Baldwin.

• Senior Boy - Oliver East.

• Senior Girl - Lily Thorburn.

The school expresses thanks to the parents, staff, ex-students and helpers who assisted on the day with the many jobs, including timekeeping.

“A big thanks to Mrs Hatty, who was doing the sums and lead-up work behind the scenes. Your help was greatly appreciated,” the school said.

“A special thank you also to the P&C team and their helpers for providing refreshments and yummy meal deals.

“The parent-teacher relay was full of fun. Some dressed up for the event, aka Mr Haley, who was looking good until halfway when he began to sink.

“Well done to the parent team who took home the trophy this year.

“Thank you to the Crawfords for sponsoring the event with Zooper Doopers for all the children.

“And another big thank you to Geoff and Kerryn Edwards for their help as stroke judges.

“Finally, thank you to Anne for having the pool ready to go and looking awesome as always.”
