A toddler was in a stable condition at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne on Monday afternoon, after he was found in a channel near Shepparton earlier in the day.
Ambulance Victoria was called to Pine Lodge about 9.30am on February 6 where paramedics treated the toddler before he was flown to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the 18-month-old boy got out of a house at Pine Lodge and was found by his mother a short time later in a channel.
Shepparton Search and Rescue was also called, to reports of a child in water in a channel, however were cancelled on the way there.
