Ray White Benalla has once again gone over and above to ensure local disadvantaged children and their families can enjoy a memorable Christmas.

Each year it holds its ‘Little Ray of Giving’ initiative, which encourages members of the public to donate a toy to go to a local child who might otherwise miss out.

Ray White Benalla’s Jordan Willcock said this was their biggest year yet, with almost 400 gifts donated.

“At Ray White we’re very family-oriented,” Ms Willcock said.

“We love to give back to the community wherever we can and this is very close to our hearts, with a lot of us having young kids.

“Christmas is that time of year where it’s so important for the kids to have a smile and for families to not feel like they can’t give their kids a proper Christmas.”

Ms Willcock said Tomorrow Today played an essential role in the initiative, as its team determined where the gifts went.

“They work with the schools and community groups and know who would benefit from the gifts,” she said.

"Without them we wouldn’t be able to do this. They are incredibly important to this community with all the different programs they run, not just partnering with us for this cause.“

Tomorrow Today executive officer Rosie Koop said Benalla had once again shown how much it cared about local children and their families.

“The number of gifts donated is just overwhelming,” Ms Koop said.

“There will be lots of happy smiles this Christmas thanks to the generosity of the Benalla community.”

Ms Willcock echoed that sentiment.

“A massive thank you to the community and everyone who has donated and continues to support this amazing cause,” she said.
