Unveiling family legacy: Tracee Spiby chronicles grandfather's WWI journey in debut book

With an interest in family history, Murchison-based author Tracee Spiby became intrigued by her grandfather Albert Henry Spibey’s military history.

One Hell at a Time’, Ms Spiby’s first book, is the fruit of a journey of research and discovery that transformed into a passion.

It is a fictional account of Albert Spibey’s experiences in WWI, from enlistment to an armistice, from cantankerous donkeys to incompetent generals, through the mud, the muck, and the lost mates.

Yet, the persistent desire to survive is the driving force throughout the challenges.

Tracee Spiby will be at Kyabram Library on Thursday, February 15, at 10.30am and Echuca Library on Thursday, February 15, at 2pm to talk about her book.

Bookings are required and can be made via the website or by calling 5481 2400.
