Motorists travelling between Koonoomoo and Tocumwal should allow extra travel time next week.
There will be temporary closures and full traffic stops as flood recovery works are completed along the Goulburn Valley Hwy between 9.30am and 3pm from Monday, September 9 to Friday, September 13.
Traffic will be held for up to 20 minutes at a time to allow crews to complete asphalting works.
Workers will be on site daily from 7am to 6pm, with lane closures and reduced speed limits during peak times.
Delays of up to 10 minutes are expected.
