Asphalt resurfacing works scheduled to begin this week in Greater Shepparton have been postponed.
The significant rain event hitting the region this week – 20 to 70mm of rainfall predicted across three days – is the cause of the delay.
Works will now occur on McKean St, Mooroopna, from Monday, October 9 to Friday, October 13, between 7am and 6pm.
Resurfacing is happening between Elizabeth St and Treacy St, but McKean St will remain open to motorists during construction – although some delays are to be expected.
Batman Ave’s works will now be scheduled for Wednesday, October 11.
Oxley St will be closed to motorists from 7am to 6pm on the day, but Batman Ave will remain open under traffic management, with short delays expected in the area.
