Live music returned to the BPACC stage on Friday, April 8, as patrons young and old enjoyed the music of The Travelling Wilburys Sessions.

The show was the second of the Friends of BPACC’s live music program for 2022

A spokesperson for the group said talented members of the Australian Music industry came together to create an unforgettable experience.

“(It) featured sensational vocals, knockout harmonies and fabulous guitar work as they paid tribute to the Wilburys and its superstar members,” the spokesperson said.

“The depth of talent in the band was quite something with skill levels honed over many years.

“After a difficult couple of years it was wonderful to see a band back on stage performing and enjoying what they do best and bringing patrons along for the ride.”

Next up in the program for 2022 will see Bernadette Robinson bring Songs of Bernadette to BPACC, following performances at the Arts Centre, Melbourne and Sydney Opera House.

That will be on Friday, August 29, from 7.30pm.

“(This show) pays tribute to some legendary performers, presenting songs by contemporary songwriters,” the spokesperson said.

"It will feature some surprise guests, think Barbera Streisand, Eartha Kitt, Shirley Bassey and Julie Andrews.”
