Shepparton’s Voice Interests and Education of Women club held a trivia event on Sunday, February 27, to raise funds for children’s education through The Smith Family.

The trivia event at Lifestyle Shepparton drew more than 60 keen players, ready to test their general knowledge for a good cause.

With almost 300 clubs across Australia, VIEW is a leading women’s organisation in community fundraising, spreading awareness and volunteering.

The club is The Smith Family’s single biggest community sponsor of the charity’s Learning for Life program.

Supporting more than 1500 disadvantaged students, the program assists students by providing long-term support for their education.

Shepparton club members are sponsoring four local students through the program, helping them to make the most of their education.

“It’s the second time we have held such an event and it raises much-needed funds for our students,” Shepparton VIEW Club president Susanne Wright said.

“The day comprised our trivia master running 50 questions, raffle prizes, a silent cake auction and overall, a real fun day for participants.”

Each month, VIEW meets for a meal at the Peppermill Inn, Kialla, and hosts guest speakers, along with fundraisers, activities and skill-building efforts in public speaking and debate.

If you would like to know more or attend one of their meetings you can contact Ms Wright on 0409 331 930.
