The Melbourne-bound lanes of the Hume Freeway are now reopened.

The Hume was closed between Seymour and Broadford, following a truck rollover early this morning.

The freeway was closed by Victoria Police.

Motorists were directed to leave the freeway at Seymour, and take Seymour-Tooborac Road through Tooborac, and the Northern Highway through Kilmore to return to the Hume Freeway.

Motorists were advised that the detour add aproximately 30 minutes to their journey.

The truck has been put back on its wheels and forklift was used to clear the truck’s lost load. It was an extensive clean up.

The road was reopened at 12.30pm on Wednesday, August 2.
