‘Green and Gold Day’ was celebrated at Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School on Friday, August 2.

Quadeisha Simpson, Ava Ponting, Tyson Mills and Dakoda Allen participated in the sprints.

Students wore Australia’s national colours to celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, even staging their own version of the events.

Ace Rogers and Sky Rogers dressed up for the occasion.

Their ‘Mini Olympics’ consisted of nine events, including sponge bucket races, egg and spoon races, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races, steeple chase, sprints, tug-of-war, an obstacle course and tag games.

Ruby Barnstable and Sadie Dobell were ready to race.

The entire day and all the activities were organised by the Twin Rivers house leaders.

Tyson Smith and Liam Holloway were all smiles in their green outfits.

Students also enjoyed a free sausage sizzle at the end of the Olympic events.
