Two people have been charged with attempted burglary and attempted theft after they allegedly broke into a Shepparton business to steal copper.
Shepparton police Sergeant Andrew Ghidetti said police were called to the business in the north end of town just before 4am on May 4 to reports of people walking around within the premises.
Police attended and arrested two people with tools that could be used to cut copper, Sgt Ghidetti said.
A 46-year-old Shepparton woman and a 44-year-old Mooroopna man have been charged with attempted burglary and attempted theft of copper.
Both have been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
