Two children have been flown to a Melbourne hospital after a boat fire at Greens Lake on Australia Day.

Emergency services were called to reports of a boat fire on the lake at Greens Lake Rd about 12.25pm.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics assessed three people at the scene for superficial burns.

Police said a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy from Kilmore were flown to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They were in a stable condition.

No treatment was required for a 62-year-old Wallan man, who was assessed by paramedics.

The exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined but the matter is not being treated as suspicious, police said.
