Two drivers charged with being more than four times legal limit

Two drivers have been charged in Shepparton for being more than four times the legal alcohol limit in less than three weeks.

Shepparton Highway Patrol’s Sergeant Janne Kennedy said a 42-year-old Shepparton man allegedly recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.223 when he was stopped by police in Wyndham St, Shepparton, on Sunday, December 11.

The man will be summonsed to appear in court on charges of drink driving and unlicensed driving.

His car was also impounded.

In a separate incident, a 43-year-old Shepparton man allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.222 when he was stopped by police on November 25.

The man was pulled over in St George’s Rd, Shepparton.

He will be summonsed to appear in court on a drink driving charge.
