An 18-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after a fatal collision near Lancaster late on Friday, January 20.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged the man following the collision at the intersection of Lancaster and Dunbar roads about 10.35pm on Friday.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 69-year-old Shepparton man, died at the scene.
His passenger, an 18-year-old man, was flown to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the other vehicle was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
He has been bailed to appear in Echuca Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 24.

– Two people were taken to hospital in a stable condition after a road incident near Kyabram last Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Webb Rd and Curr Rd south-west of the town at noon on January 18.
According to police, a car on Webb Rd was turning left on to Curr Rd and a truck had to swerve around it to avoid a collision.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics treated two people at the scene.
One person was taken to Echuca Regional Health and the other to Goulburn Valley Health.
