Echuca Police are investigating an arson incident, after two vehicles were torched on McMillan Rd, Echuca, about 4.45am on Tuesday, March 7.
Police say it appears one person was involved and that they may have set off on foot towards Mundarra Rd, Echuca.
Detective Senior Constable Shane Kervin said it appears the person used an accelerant to spread the fire.
“There was extensive damage to both vehicles,” Det Sen Constable Kervin said.
“The owners are quite distressed by it.
“It appears their vehicles have been specifically targeted but they can’t offer any explanation as to why they’ve been targeted.”
Police are calling on the community for assistance.
“If you noticed anyone acting suspicious in that area or if you have CCTV please come forward and assist us with our investigation,” Det Sen Constable Kervin said.
