A ute was allegedly stolen from a Picola house and jewellery taken from another nearby house, according to police.

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit Acting Detective Sergeant Bree George said police were called to a house in Moran St about 9am on March 23, where jewellery had allegedly been stolen.

While they were at that house, they received a call that a Toyota HiLux ute had allegedly been stolen from another house in the same street about 9.30am, Act Sen Sgt George said.

The ute was located three hours later parked in a Shepparton street.

On Thursday, March 30, Cobram CIU executed a search warrant at a Shepparton house.

Some of the jewellery from the Moran St house was found at this house.

A compound bow, which police believe had been stolen, was also found at the house, Act Det Sgt George said.

A 47-year-old Shepparton woman has been charged with theft of a vehicle, burglary, theft, handling stolen goods and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

She has been remanded in custody to appear in a magistrates’ court in mid-April.
