Stage two of Campaspe Shire Council’s upgrades to the Victoria Park boat ramp in Echuca are progressing well.
Expected to be completed by the end of the month, the works include an upgraded wet ramp pavement and retaining walls to include an all-abilities walkway ramp and floating dock, including a crane to allow easier access for people with a disability.
The concrete and footpath works are on track, while retaining wall works are nearly finished, with landscaping and an equipment fit-out to follow.
From December 9 to December 11 the boat ramp will be closed while the floating dock is installed.
A crane will be parked on the ramp, lifting the pontoon segments and the gangway into place.
In the meantime, residents and visitors can use other boat ramps, including Five Mile Moama, Torrumbarry and Echuca East.
