Volunteers will be outside Bendigo Bank each Thursday and Friday until December 9 raising funds to donate to Benalla Health.

The Benalla Hosptial Auxiliary fundraiser is done annually and volunteers have secured hundreds of dollars of donations from local businesses.

Volunteer Margaret Hill said lots of businesses had donated items and vouchers, with one lucky raffle winner taking it all home.

“We usually only have the big stocking, but this year we have the craft stall, too,” Ms Hill said.

“We’re hoping to make a fair few thousand dollars to donate.

“On the stall we have things like marmalade, Christmas cards, chocolate pudding, hand towels, and much more.”

Ms Hill said each year the hospital lets the auxiliary know of things it needed.

“And that might be a specific piece of equipment, for example. Or different things they need for different wards,” she said.

“We then raise money to help them get those things.”

Raffle tickets are $2 each.

Volunteers will be outside Bendigo Bank each Thursday and Friday until December 9, when the raffle is drawn, at 4pm. They will also be at the next Benalla Lakeside Market.
