Volunteers thanked for making ball possible

A group of excited and well-prepared participants were privileged to make their debut at the Seymour and District Debutante Ball 2023.

The special event for the participants, their families and friends would not have been possible without the effort, dedication and passion of the wonderful volunteers.

The volunteers gave up their time to attend an initial meeting, plan and prepare the ball and instruct the dances each week.

It was clear their contributions and effort were appreciated by the people who attended the ball. The participants presented beautifully and their dancing was fabulous.

In particular, Russell Chapman organised and drove the bus to arrange the suit fitting and collection of the suits for the boys.

He also drove the participants on the bus to the practice afternoon in Melbourne and also on the night of the ball, on August 12.

The participants and their families showed their gratitude for the voluntary work with a box of Favourites chocolates and a note saying “volunteers are our favourites” in recognition of their kindness in giving up their time.
