People across Victoria are invited to take part in Beechworth to Bridge 2025, a powerful two-day walk dedicated to raising awareness of suicide, fostering conversations around mental health and encouraging connection and support.

The 2025 event will follow the 27km rail trail from Beechworth to Yackandandah on Saturday, March 29, and the 20km stretch from Beechworth to Everton on Sunday, March 30.

This community-driven event is not a competition or a fundraiser — it’s a journey of solidarity, remembrance and hope taken by hundreds of people every year.

Founded by north-east Victoria locals who have lost loved ones to suicide, survived their own mental health hardships or supported others in crisis, B2B’s aim is to reduce suicide, smash stigma and improve healing.

“There are devastating impacts of suicide for entire communities,” B2B spokesperson Liz Frazer said.

‘’B2B creates a space for people to walk, talk and support one another.

‘’It’s about acknowledging struggles, honouring the memory of lost loved ones, sharing stories and reinforcing that no-one is alone in their loss or ongoing mental health challenges.”

Walkers can join in for the last few kilometres each day, an entire day or the whole weekend.

Registration closes at midnight on Monday, March 24.

There are many ways to support the cause. Walker registrations, raffle tickets, donations, merchandise and social media links can all be found at b2b.org.au #walktalksupport and #B2B25.
