Rodney Vincent will headline a Seniors Week concert at Wangaratta’s Da Vinci Club on Thursday, October 5.

The well-known local musician was named Victorian Entertainer of the Year in 2006 and has been inducted into the South Australian Country Music Hall of Fame.

Rodney is your complete entertainer and caters for everyone.

His show is a blend of country, comedy, old-time favourites, rock and roll and storytelling, which will bring a smile to every face.

His standing in Australia’s entertainment scene is no accident. It is a result of a long, hard apprenticeship that, as he said, started a while ago.

His journey has taken him from his first paying gig in an old-time dance band at his local hall to some of Australia’s biggest venues, clubs, and theatres.

He’s toured and been a special guest with the Delltones, the 4 Kinsman, Col Elliott, and American rock and roll legend Gene Pitney.

Rodney was a special guest on five Australian tours with Gene and wrote and recorded two songs with him, something Rodney is very proud of.

Along with his shows, Rodney hosts holiday tours worldwide from Canada, the USA, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, and Vietnam. He has just recently returned from the Cook Islands.

For Rodney, there is no better time to return to his hometown, catch up with locals and enjoy their company.

Recently, Rodney was honoured to have a number one song, a remake of a 60’s classic ‘Speak to the Sky’, on CMR FM’s independent top 40 chart in Tasmania.

It’s a gospel version with the talented Lisa Edwards as a special guest.

Rodney always delivers a fun show and loves seeing people laughing, smiling, and enjoying themselves.

So, if you haven’t seen one of his shows, here is your chance to enjoy an afternoon of fun entertainment.

The show is on Wednesday, October 5, from 1pm to 3.30pm.

Reserve your ticket now by calling 0409 307 606 or by emailing dvsc.wang@gmail.com.

All tickets must be paid by Monday, October 2.
