River rises were again a feature of the weekend across Greater Shepparton.

The Seven Creeks approached minor flood levels (4.5m) at Kialla West, peaking at 4.40m just prior to 9pm on Sunday.

The rising water caused a road closure at Raftery Rd, Kialla, while a tree down on Mitchell Rd, between Archer Rd and the Goulburn Valley Hwy, forced its closure on Monday morning in Kialla West.

No access: Raftery Rd in Kialla is closed due to flood waters.

Water was also visible across the road on Watt Rd, with the Goulburn River rising to 9.17m at Shepparton as of 2.30pm on Monday.

Greater Shepparton City Council closed Watt Rd just after 3pm on Monday.

It was as low as 5.62m on June 16 and still below 8m last Thursday morning.

The Broken River at Orrvale reached 4.94m in the early hours of Monday before beginning to recede.

It was visibly higher where the Goulburn Valley Hwy crosses it in Kialla, but still well below the minor flood level of 6.8m.
