It’s that time of year again: the school holidays. A time of relaxing and enjoyment. But what do you do when you’re relaxed and happy? That’s where we come in, with our list of activities happening around the Goulburn Valley to entertain your family.

Friday, April 14

Let’s Move

Join Kim from Start Outdoors for a multi-sport program for preschool-aged children that focuses on fundamental movement and skills. Let’s run, jump, throw and catch in our local playground.

Age group: 0 to 5 years

Time: 10am to 11am

Run Jump Throw

Running, jumping and throwing are the foundation skills for participation in many sports. Join Kim from Start Outdoors for an hour of fun games at KidsTown that will build your child's confidence in these skills.

Saturday, April 15

Sprout Mud and Messy Play

10am to 3pm

Join the Kiwanis Sunrisers for a range of muddy and messy activities in the community edible garden space: Sprout at KidsTown. Lots of fun kids’ activities: Mad Mud Kitchen, Veggie Printing, Rubber Band Painting, Sponge Art and more. Learn about the water cycle and go bananas on the B1 and B2 mobile cars. Put on your old clothes, bring a drink bottle and remember to be sun smart.

Bunkasaurus! with Bunk Puppets

Brought to you by Bunk Puppets, enjoy a morning of entertainment, puppetry and workshops. In this jaunty new adventure, two clowns find themselves constantly distracted from their work of stacking boxes in the warehouse. Instead, they tumble into a world of puppetry and silent comedy, creating an entertaining universe soaked in imagination and creativity.

Age: 6 and up

Build a Body: Collaging with Sole Galvan

Join local artist Sole Galvan for a crafty multimedia collage workshop, where kids will piece together their own unique creature using magazines and newspapers.

SAM Toddlers presents See Make Play

Toddlers will enjoy a hands-on session of sensory play and exploration, with an at-home play pack created by creative studio See Make Play to be collected at the end to continue the fun.

Circus Riders

Use a template by ‘made by joel’ to make these fantastic unicycling circus riders. Visitors can use one of the riders created by Joel or can draw their own character.

Life on the Flats

Join RiverConnect and Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation to experience a truly unique and memorable cultural walk on The Flats. Guided by an Elder, the talk will explore significant events and share personal stories of life growing up on the banks of the mighty Kaiela (Goulburn River).

Super Skimmer

Paper skimmers look quite simple, but when you launch them on a smooth surface they really zip along. Come up with your own decorative design and see how far yours can skim.

Birds-Eye View Collaborative Murals inspired by Ash Keating

Taking place outdoors, this casual workshop encourages visitors of all ages to contribute to a collective mural inspired by Ash Keating’s abstract landscapes.
