Nine sleeps to Christmas and the lead-up could not be any merrier. There are carols, markets and Christmas cheer galore to explore in the Greater Shepparton area.

Christmas Cheer in the Park

Family festivities will be in Merrigum for Christmas Cheer in the Park. There is plenty of fun to be had, prizes to be won and Christmas music to dance to. A free barbecue and $2 drinks are also available. Starting at 6pm, there’s something for everyone (including a visit from Santa)!

Shepparton Pet and Family Festive Portraits

Has your pet been naughty or nice? Between 9am to 4pm Harvey Norman is offering festive photographs for all animal-lovers to bring their furry friends in for an extra special photo shoot. What better way to say Merry Christmas than with a greeting card of yourself next to man’s best friend?

A night of singing, dancing and entertainment is coming to Shepparton for the annual Carols by Candlelight. Performers will grace the stage from 6.30pm to 9pm, and local food vendors will be there to satisfy any cravings. Bring fold-out chairs, picnic rugs, cushions or blankets and settle in for a spectacular night.

Shepparton Farmers and Specialty Christmas Market

Fresh: Shepparton Farmers and Specialty Christmas Market is providing the goods this Sunday.

Calling all food lovers! The Shepparton Farmers and Specialty Christmas Market is back at the Shepparton Showgrounds. From 8.30am to 1pm, visitors can check out the produce showcased by local growers. Plus, a special Christmas twist on the market.

Emerald Bank Community Market

The last Emerald Bank Community Market for 2022 is providing attendees with an array of fresh produce, food, giftware and more. From 8.30am to 1.30pm market-goers can sample quality foods the region has to offer. There will also be arts and crafts from local community members available for purchase.

Aquamoves Women-Only Swimming

Relaxed atmosphere: Women-only swimming returns to Aquamoves this Sunday. Photo by Rechelle Zammit

Women-only swimming is returning to Aquamoves. Supported by the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign, women of all ages and abilities are invited to try the aquatic facilities. The sessions will run from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Cost: Adult swim $6.50, child swim $4.30, group swim $17.50 (includes two adults and three children)
