Wilby CFA is expected to have three additional pieces of equipment by Christmas to help keep the community safe.
“We are to purchase an electric vac, pressure washer and a hooligan tool to gain forcible entry with the total cost around $2,000,” Wilby captain Lyndon Hart said.
In a funding boost for emergency services’ volunteers in the north east, the Victorian State Government announced 20 grants worth over $700,000 for the CFA and SES.
Wilby was one of those 20 recipients, for which Mr Hart expressed his appreciation.
