Echuca Police is investigating the circumstances around a female courtesy bus driver allegedly being assaulted by a male driver at the intersection of Murray Valley Hwy and Butcher St just after 2pm on Tuesday, November 29.

Leading Senior Constable Paul Kervin, of the Echuca Police, said it had not yet been established whether the female driver cut off the male driver.

“A male confronted her at the intersection’s traffic lights, started abusing her, tried to grab her keys, pushed her and then walked away,” Lead Sen Constable Kervin said.

“The woman did not suffer any injuries but was quite upset and emotional.”

No passengers were in the courtesy bus at the time.

The male is described as being approximately 60 years old, having a grey moustache and is believed to have been driving a green Toyota Hilux with a canopy.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the male is urged to contact the Campaspe Criminal Investigation Unit on 5483 1558.
