Woman dies in fatal collision at intersection north of Tatura

A Kialla woman has died after the car she was driving and a truck collided at a rural intersection north of Tatura just after 11.30am on Wednesday, December 7.

The crash occurred on the Tatura-Undera Rd at the Merrigum-Ardmona Rd intersection between Ardmona and Merrigum.

Police said the 44-year-old woman, who died at the scene, was driving east on Merrigum-Ardmona Rd when her Holden sedan and a heavy rigid truck travelling north on the Undera-Tatura Rd collided.

The woman’s vehicle came to rest in a ditch on the eastern side of Undera-Tatura Rd.

The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old Geelong West man, was not injured in the crash.
