A seven-member working group of the John Foord Oval Facility Advisory Committee will look closely at all options regarding facilities at the oval.
Formed last week at the committee’s second meeting, the working group comprises Rod Campbell, Beau Longmire, Graham Hosier, Ross Schilg, Michael Stanton, Angela Reidy and Robert Bon.
The group will meet onsite at the John Foord Oval, in the former saleyards canteen building on Tuesday, July 9 and will report to the committee’s next meeting on Tuesday, July 16.
Last week’s 55-minutes meeting talked about insurance, asbestos inspection and action, and the scope of works for building repairs.
Committee chair, Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke, is pleased with the interest shown by committee members.
“We’re excited as a committee to form the working group, to have some valuable input and to get the process moving quickly to get as speedy an outcome as possible,” he told The Free Press.
