The Victorian Government has announced that grants are now open for Youth Fest.

Grants of up to $2000 are available for sector organisations, local government and schools in northern Victoria to partner with people aged 12 to 25 to create a wide variety of youth-specific events.

State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the funding would be available for up to 110 events.

“Victorian Youth Fest gives the young people the chance to forge connections not only with their peers but also their community, as well as to lead positive change,” she said.

Youth Fest will take place in September and will support young people in organising and delivering events, showcasing their skills, sharing ideas, building social connections and expanding their networks.

In 2023, the month-long festival funded 111 activities, including those focused on art, music, sport and theatre.

Applications for grants are open until March 15. To apply and find out more about the program, visit https://www.vic.gov.au/youth-fest-grants
