Meeting the needs of farmers

Gordy Rogers has worked in the agricultural sector for more than 30 years.

He knows that the services farmers need don’t simply stop when they walk out of the dealership.

In his role as after sales manager, Mr Rogers makes sure farmers get what they pay for and the tractors keep rolling.

He started with the group at Warracknabeal in October 1989 as parts manager, after already working in the agricultural sector for years.

Mr Rogers moved to the Shepparton dealership in April 2003, when O’Connors acquired the East End garage.

Now he supports the 15 branches of O’Connors across three states.

In all his years, Mr Rogers has never seen a community as unique as Shepparton in the agricultural sector, and is proud that his team has been able to meet the needs of the region’s farmers.

From broadacre to dairy operations and orchards, right down to district market gardens, Mr Rogers has watched O’Connors grow and adapt along with the demands of the Goulburn Valley’s agricultural needs.

He’s been around long enough to remember when tractors used to be steered by farmers — now they’re steered by satellites.

And the whole time O’Connors has been at the forefront of supplying and servicing the cutting edge in agricultural equipment to the Goulburn Valley.

Now that O’Connors Shepparton is moving to the new premises, Mr Rogers is looking forward to being able to provide better service to the region’s farmers than ever before.
